Reyburn and Bryant purchase DJI Matrice 100 UAV

Reyburn and Bryant purchased a DJI Matrice 100 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) at the beginning of 2017. This technology is produced by DJI, a Chinese Technology company, which is the world's leader in the civilian-drone and aerial imaging technology industry, accounting for 85% of the global consumer drone market.

The Matrice 100 allows for a stable, reliable flight and is equipped with customised commands, enabling the user to tell it how and where to fly and gather information in real time. It’s lightweight frame and efficient motors provide up to 40 minutes of flight time which can be extended by an optional second battery. It is paired with a Zenmuse X3 gimbal and camera which records 4K video at up to 30FPS, or 1080P video at up to 60FPS with a 94⁰ wide-angle FOV. The 3-Axis gimbal helps to produce smooth and stable footage in any flight conditions.

The Matrice 100 uses GPS whilst filming terrain and this is applied in a post-processing environment to create fully contoured images. The Matrice 100 is an ideal cost-effective solution for clients wishing to survey large areas and solid surfaces. Clients currently utilising this technology include Northland Waste and Golden Bay Cement.

Reyburn and Bryant’s Matrice 100 is operated by a qualified Registered Professional Surveyor who is trained in The CAA Part 101 rules and regulations.
